Hotels.com labels the view of every category at this hotel as a city view, so go by the name of the room.

The Grand View Junior Suite and the Grand View Penthouse Suite don't name the Colosseum. A Hotels.com photo caption shows the Junior Suite window overlooking it, and Untold Italy recommends the Penthouse Suite for the view. Ask the hotel before booking either.

Read the small print in the room name

Superior Double Room is not Superior Double Room (with view on the Colosseum)
At the Mercure Roma Centro Colosseo, only the category with the view in its name comes with the Colosseum. The plain Superior Double and the Superior Twin are sold without a view named.
Executive Double Room is not Master Colosseum View
At Palazzo Manfredi, The Hotel Guru says the Executive Double Rooms overlook Colle Oppio and the Domus Aurea, not the Colosseum. Four other categories carry the Colosseum in the name.
“Colosseum” in the hotel name is not a view
Hotel Colosseum lists five room types on Travelocity, and none mentions the Colosseum. A guide says its view is from the panoramic terrace, not from the rooms.

No view room? Try a rooftop

Hotel Capo d'Africa has a roof-level breakfast area and terrace with views of the Colosseum, according to Time Out. Time Out does not say that any of its rooms have the view.

Questions

Which Rome hotels sell rooms with a Colosseum view?

Of the hotels we checked in October 2026: Palazzo Manfredi, Mercure Roma Centro Colosseo, Colosseum Corner and N° 9 Colosseo sell categories with the Colosseum in the name. Colosseo Panoramic Rooms has the view in some rooms, but sells no category with it.

Does a hotel on Via Labicana guarantee the view?

No. The Mercure Roma Centro Colosseo is at Via Labicana 144, and only one of its categories names the Colosseum. Book the category that names the view, not the address.

Is a “Coliseum View” room the same as a “Colosseum View” room?

Yes. Some booking sites spell the monument “Coliseum”. N° 9 Colosseo sells its Double Room under that spelling.

Which hotel has the most Colosseum view room types?

Palazzo Manfredi, with four on Hotels.com: Master Colosseum View, Colosseo Suite, Grand View Colosseo Suite and Ludus Colosseum View.
